For the fourth consecutive year, Jadek & Pensa<\/strong> had the pleasure of hosting the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot Competition<\/strong>, where Slovenia\u2019s top law students competed in a challenging arbitration setting. This year, teams from the University of Ljubljana<\/strong> and the University of Maribor<\/strong> participated, demonstrating outstanding legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and readiness to tackle real-world arbitration disputes.<\/p>\n

Why Have We Been Organizing the Pre-Moot for Four Years?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Vis Moot<\/strong> is one of the most prestigious international student competitions in international commercial arbitration<\/strong>. Pre-Moot events like ours provide teams with an invaluable opportunity to test their arguments in a real-world setting and face the challenges posed by experienced arbitrators. These competitions help students develop analytical thinking, structured argumentation, and quick responsiveness<\/strong>\u2014all of which are essential for a career in dispute resolution.<\/p>\n

Arbitrators from Jadek & Pensa<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This year\u2019s simulated arbitration proceedings were judged by Nastja Merlak, Daniela Sindi\u010di\u010d, Mihael Pojbi\u010d, Eva Milo\u0161i\u010d, and Rok \u0160kof<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With their extensive experience, the arbitrators challenged the teams with demanding questions, tested their arguments, and encouraged them to think strategically\u2014an invaluable preparation for the next stages of the competition.<\/p>\n

A Tight Competition and Victory for the University of Ljubljana<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The competition took place in a dynamic and intellectually rigorous environment<\/strong>, where participants demonstrated exceptional legal reasoning and persuasive advocacy. After an intense debate, the team from the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana<\/strong> claimed victory, earning this year\u2019s Jadek & Pensa award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We congratulate all participants on their dedication, preparation, and professional performance. Every team proved they are more than ready for the next challenge\u2014the final rounds in Vienna and Hong Kong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
