We hosted students from the Geneva Club as part of the Attorneys’ Tea event. The event was attended by senior-year law students interested in gaining insight into the work of the largest law firm in Slovenia.
The programme began with an introductory presentation of the firm, its development, and its key areas of practice – commercial, corporate and transactional law, dispute resolution, as well as tax and employment law. We also presented the organisation of our practice groups and explained how they collaborate in practice.
We then provided a more detailed overview of our mentorship programme and junior associate rotation system, which enables junior associates to work across different practice groups and gain a broad range of practical experience. We emphasised that this approach ensures strong preparation for the bar exam and facilitates informed decisions regarding future specialisation.
The second part of the event consisted of small-group discussions with representatives of individual practice groups. The discussion was open and driven by the students’ initiative, covering topics such as the career path in law, typical lifecycle of a matter, expectations towards junior lawyers, and balancing professional and personal life.
The event concluded with informal networking and refreshments in our Konoba dining space, where the conversation continued in a relaxed atmosphere.
We would like to thank the Geneva Club for organising the event and for the opportunity to engage in an open dialogue with students. We are pleased to present our way of working and our perspective on the future of the legal profession to the next generation of lawyers.
